“Le Rosse dell’Etna” (“The Reds of Etna”) was founded by the desire of two young men who wanted to undertake and revive an old profession rooted in the tradition of their families and their own land, sure of the fact that Sicilian red oranges uniqueness deserve to be presented on the tables of European families because of their distinct flavour and their numberless beneficial properties, not anymore just as fruit juice but as a real table fruit.

A rich and ancient craftsmanship meets a modern and efficient industrialization to ensure a certified control of the production chain. During the manufacturing process, a careful selection of the product with a deviation superior to any competitor gives us the opportunity to offer a greater quality to the final consumer and a longer shelf-life.
Oranges are selected and hand-picked to ensure the peel's integrity and an optimal product. They rest a few hours before being ready for the next step.
A robot gently empties the boxes on conveyor belts to introduce oranges in the processing chain in which they are washed, dried and polished with natural water-based wax.
Our experienced team selects again the product before its transition to the laser grading machine that helps to determine with absolute precision the weight and the size of each orange.
The manual packaging is made with extreme care by our “masters packagers” before the product can proceed to the automated packaging and to the final shipping step.

Our company is responsible of the production and distribution of certified quality products such as the Tarocco Orange, the Moro Orange and the Sanguinello Orange, all with red pulp, and also Mandarins, Red Clementines and Red Apricots belonging to the “cot” family. Our production also includes different kind of table grapes including the Italian Muscat White Grapes and the Red Globe Black Grapes. Each production process is subject to strict quality controls, from harvesting to shipping, to always guarantee the best possible product.

The red oranges grow rich in 100% natural and beneficial properties thanks to the particular condition of Palagonia microclimate (Plain of Catania) and the contrast between the cold of Mount Etna’s snow and the warmth of the sun of Sicily.
